Er worden geen deelnemers meer gezocht voor de Muffins study.

Aangezien een deel van het onderzoek uitgevoerd wordt door een onderzoeker die geen Nederlands spreekt, zal het gehele onderzoek in het Engels plaatsvinden. Om deze reden kunnen alleen mensen deelnemen die de Engelse taal redelijk tot goed beheersen, en is onderstaande informatie geschreven in het Engels.

The aim of the Muffins study is to determine the effect of ingredient composition on the liking of muffins and the ability to discriminate between muffins prepared with different recipes.

The study will take place in July 2013 in the Biotechnion. You are expected to visit the university for one test session which will take around 1.5 hours. The test session will be scheduled with you one of the days and times listed below.

Monday, July 15, 14:00-18:00 hrs
Tuesday, July 16, 9:00-18:00 hrs
Wednesday, July 17, 9:00-18:00 hrs
Monday, July 22, 14:00-18:00 hrs
Tuesday, July 23, 9:00-18:00 hrs
Wednesday, July 24, 9:00-18:00 hrs

For this study we are looking for 100 volunteers (both men and women) who would like to join.

You are eligible for the Muffins study when you:

  • are between 18 and 65 years old (date of birth between 25-07-1947 and 15-07-1995)
  • consume muffins (or similar products like cupcakes or madeleines) at least twice a year
  • do not smoke
  • have a normal or good sense of taste and smell
  • are generally healthy, don't have diabetes and are not gluten intolerant
  • are not pregnant or nursing
  • do not participate in another research study

What we expect from you:

  • attendance of one test session which will take around 1.5 hours
    In the hour preceding this session you are:
    • not allowed to eat anything and drink only water
    During this session you will:
    • fill in a short questionnaire to confirm you are eligible for the Muffins study
    • taste 24 samples of muffins and answer quesions about them on a computer

What do you get in return?

  • financial compensation of € 7,50 (VVV-voucher) on completion of the study
  • you will make an important contribution to scientific research
